Verde Valley Caregivers Services

The Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition (VVCC) serves seniors and adults with disabilities. Many of the recipients are living in isolated situations due to physical limitations or because family and friends no longer live near them.

There is no financial eligibility requirement. Services are provided free of charge. The Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition is a non-profit charity and all donations are greatly appreciated. See our 'Click here to donate' page to learn about all ways you can donate including estate bequests.

Here's how our services work:  When a "Neighbor" calls us with a service request, a VVCC Office Volunteer records the request information.

The Office Volunteer calls the Verde Valley Caregivers' list of Volunteers in the same geographic area as the 'Neighbor' requesting assistance. When an available Volunteer is found, the Office Volunteer calls the "Neighbor" to let them know who will be helping them and to make any final arrangements regarding the service.

We ask our "Neighbors" to please call 48 hours ahead of time so we can more successfully find an available Volunteer to assist them.

The Guardian Angel Program

VVCC loans and installs a Personal Assistance Security System for persons with a medical condition and/or living alone. It plugs into a normal phone outlet that's programmed with neighbors' or family members' phone numbers who can quickly respond in an emergency.

If a 'Neighbor' falls and can't get up or has any kind of emergency, they can push the pendant's button which automatically calls for help.
