What would they do without us?
· VVCC serves over 2,700 older adults
· 1,900 of our neighbors live alone
· 50% live at or below the poverty level
· 65% are 85 years and older
· 20 are 100 years and older

How You Can Make a Difference Now

Each week we receive 10 to 12 calls, sometimes more, from older adults who need our help. Most can no longer drive, live alone, and do not have family members close by. Many experience mobility challenges and some are at risk for falling down. Your gifts make it possible for us to provide transportation to the grocery store, medical and other important appointments, and other assistance so our “neighbors” can remain in their homes for as long as possible.

Please keep hope alive for older adults in need. Please consider the following giving opportunities:

  • $3,500 Help 10 neighbors receive the services they need during 2016.
  • $5,250 Help 15 neighbors receive the services they need during 2016.
  • $10,500 Help 30 neighbors receive the services they need during 2016.
  • $20,000 Provide 100 new Guardian Angel medical alert units to neighbors who are at-risk for falling down.

The number of older adults requiring our services has  grown 100% the past several years. That’s because the senior members of our Verde Valley communities are aging in place—45% of the population is now 55 and older. Sixty percent of Sedona and Village of Oak Creek communities have an older adult population over age 55.

We invite you to join our donors and volunteers who are making our communities a better place for all of us. Please let us know how you can help.
